| Q. What's a good time of year to fish on the Hiwassee River?
A. You can successfully fish the Hiwassee River year-round, partially due to the low water temperatures. Cool water is released from the bottom of the Apalachia Dam, traveling twelve miles downstream to the Powerhouse. We generally put-in for our guided drift boat expeditions about 1/4 mile below the Apalachia Powerhouse. |
